1. Tofu Fajitas
Ingredients: Tofu (firm), Bell peppers (red or green), Onions, Tsp red pepper flakes, Tbsp vegetable oil, Tbsp soy sauce.
Method: Cut tofu into cubes then fry in some oil until browned on all sides. Take out and set aside. Slice onions and peppers into long thin strips. Put cooked veggies back in the pan along with the cooked tofu. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Toss in soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and vegetable oil (optional). Serve with tortillas/bread of your choice
2. Tofu Sandwiches
Ingredients: Tofu (firm or extra firm), Tbsp olive oil, Tbsp soy sauce, Tsp black pepper, Tsp smoked paprika, Bread/buns of your choice.
Method: Fry tofu for 5 minutes on each side on high heat with olive oil until golden brown. Toss in soy sauce and spices while cooking the tofu. Make whatever sandwich you want with fried tofu slices – gorgeous! This is not only healthy but also delicious!
3. Tofu Curry
Ingredients: Tofu (firm), Onion, Garlic, Curry powder, Tbsp tomato paste, Coconut milk (canned).
Method: Slice onion and garlic. Fry until browned in some oil then adds the curry powder. Stir around for a minute then add the tofu and tomato paste. Cook for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with rice or naan bread
4. Tofu Scramble
Ingredients: Tofu (firm or extra firm), Onion, Red pepper flakes, Tbsp olive oil, Tsp turmeric, Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Method: Slice onion and fry in olive until browned then add red pepper flakes. Crumble in tofu and add all other ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes while stirring. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Tofu scramble makes a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
5. Tofu Burrito
Ingredients: Tofu (firm), Onion, Garlic, Tbsp vegetable oil, Tbsp taco seasoning mix, Tinned black beans, Chopped tomatoes, Tortillas of your choice.
Method: Slice onion and garlic then fry until browned in some oil. Add the taco seasoning mix and fry for a minute. Add crumbled tofu and fry for 3-5 minutes until lightly browned. Pour in black beans and chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes more. Assemble burrito with all your favorite burrito fillings then serve! Tofu burritos are healthy, Tofu vegan, and delicious.
